Music might be key to the plot or to a character's role in the story's world. Could a story be structured as a sonata or a capriccio? Can you achieve effects comparable with opera and musical theater - the interaction of words and music in the story instead of in the theater?

As a performer, Ed has appeared in numerous plays, musicals and operas in his home province of Saskatchewan over the past two decades. Ed's next book will be the fantasy novel Magebane, written under the pseudonym Lee Arthur Chane, due out from DAW on October 4.
